In 2011 after a combined 35 years in the NHS, we seized an opportunity to live and work in Cambodia. mtwenty was born on our return to Manchester in 2016, bringing together our health backgrounds, plus years in international development.
About our First Aid Training
Since then Ruth has continued to provide First Aid training in both Cambodia and the UK. In Cambodia, she provided training to UN organisations, staff in multiple international schools and kindergartens, internationally-owned factories looking for the highest quality of training and to childminders. Most training is in English, and we work with Cambodian clinicians who can offer a simultaneous translation. Cambodia has no accreditation systems in place, so being UK-based enables Ruth to be accredited through Worksafe. This makes her unique in the training that she offers in Cambodia.
In the UK, our First Aid training is mainly with schools in Trafford, Manchester, Tameside, Oldham and Bolton. She's also trained community groups, staff in local cafes and sports clubs, and our "minimum two people" approach makes the training highly accessible and affordable.
About our Healthcare Management and Public Health Consultancy
Steve developed extensive experience in public health and in health service management, which gives him the ability to understand epidemiological issues and how to implement solutions. His work has ranged from training local Cambodian NGOs, through to researching and drafting the core components for health service improvement programs worth $200 million in Afghanistan. Since 2018, he's worked as a consultant developing multiple projects with USAID in Jordan, Haiti and the Kyrgyz Republic.
